Trauma, Bodies and Reading Eicha: Tish’ah b’Av with Dr. Tamar Kamionkowski

In this talk, Dr. Tamar Kamionkowski will present an interpretation of Eicha that is informed by trauma theory in biblical studies. She will pay particular attention to the embodied experiences of Zion, of the narrator, and of contemporary readers of this liturgical text. Dr. Kamionkowski is Professor for Biblical Studies at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College.
