Festivities begin at 5:30 PM with face painting, photo booth, LGBTQ+ reading nook & more, then move into a family & kids JAM with Rabbi Alanna, Chana Rothman, and Philly Jewish Drag Queen Eric Jaffe. Continue the fun with a potluck & Sh’BBQ with Grow & Behold, a Farewell to Rabbi Alanna, and Kol Zimrah Under the Stars, featuring G’vanim. All the details are below!
6:00 PM “The Story of Us: A Shabbat Pride Journey”: Family & Kids’ JAM
Join Rabbi Alanna Sklover, Chana Rothman, and Philly Drag Queen Eric Jaffe under the rainbow to celebrate who we are, who we love, and who loves us. The story of us is filled with beautiful diversity, and Shabbat is a taste of the world to come, a model for openness, outness, and acceptance. Through music, songs, and stories, we come together to share in this feeling. Much gratitude to the Harold & Renee Berger Family Engagement Endowment Fund for generously sponsoring this program, and to Mikael Elsila, Daniella Forstater, and Jakob Slifker for joining in!
