Join Rabbi Rebecca Richman in person, outdoors in GJC’s Sukkah for a Rosh ha-Shanah Day 1 beit midrash text study. Masks are required!
In the Haftarah reading on the First Day of Rosh Hashanah, we learn the story of Hannah. Distraught by her barrenness, she turns to God in prayer. Hannah, considered one of Torah’s seven prophetesses, is instrumental in the ancient rabbis’ teachings on how to effectively and powerfully pray. In our text study, we will explore Hannah’s prayer (both how and what she prays) to learn from her about praying from the depths of our experiences.
