This annual community and charitable event serves many functions. Every year women in the community are asked to donate any clothing and accessories that are in good condition, but which they no longer use. A large group of volunteers then sorts the donations. The Marcus Auditorium is becomes a giant bazaar, and women from all over the city come and pay $20 to “shop” through all these things and take home whatever they like. The event raises thousands of dollars, all of which is donated towards important social justice work. When the event is over, all the leftover items are then donated to Whosoever Gospel Mission in Germantown.
Please make sure all items are clean and free of rips and stains. Drop off bins are located inside the Magil Chapel Lobby and outside of the Charry Lobby parking lot entrance doors. If dropping off a large amount of clothing, please pull halfway down the driveway to deposit your items in the marked bin.
Items may be dropped off from Sunday, January 26 through Friday, January 31. Hours for drop off: Sunday and Friday 9-3, Monday through Thursday 8-5. Collection bins are located at the driveway entrance to the Charry Lobby (outside for convenient drop off) and inside the Magil Chapel Lobby (using the office/school entrance).
