Prayer 101

a Young Adult learning opportunity at GJC
co-sponsored by Tribe12

ARE YOU…

  • …a Jewish young adult (20s-30s)* in the greater Philadelphia area?
  • …looking to connect with other people in your age cohort?
  • …interested in learning more about the many modes of Jewish prayer?

Please join us for Prayer 101, a new Young Adult class at Germantown Jewish Centre! In five sessions, we will dig deep into how, why, and when Jews pray – both with and without the prayer book. Whether you are beginning your exploration of Jewish prayer or you are familiar with prayer services and looking for a deeper dive, this class is for you! We’ll meet at GJC for dinner, conversation, and learning. Sessions will be taught by Rabbi Adam Zeff, Tribe12 Executive Director Rabbi Megan GoldMarche, Student Rabbi Maria Pulzetti, and Tribe12 Rabbinic Intern Adina Ikeman!

Tuition: $50 for all five sessions, including dinner (scholarships available, please contact Student Rabbi Pulzetti)

Time: Tuesday, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Dates: December 2, December 9, December 16; January 6, January 13

*This class is also open to those converting to Judaism, and those who identify with this age cohort – even if slightly outside it!
