NEW TOY DRIVE and NEW ADULT PUFFY WINTER/COAT JACKET DRIVE for the Immigrant/Refugee Clients of HIAS-PA
- From November 30 until December 13, Germantown Jewish Centre will be hosting a new toy & coat drive in support of the HIAS-PA. HIAS-PA still has many immigrant and refugee families visiting their office for support and legal advice, often with their children in tow. They need NEW toys to allow the children (of all ages) to play while their parents are meeting – and then take the toys home with them when they leave.
- The adults need warm, puffy winter coats and jackets to help them get through our cold Philadelphia weather.
- Please use the bin in the Magil Chapel Lobby for these supplies.
- No opened or used toys can be accepted. No used coats or jackets can be accepted.
Assistance from GJC congregants at the end of the drive will be needed to sort and transport the toys to the HIAS-PA office in Center City. Contact Debbie Stern at debstern502@msn.com to help out.
