Join Rabbi Richman for a text study inspired by and building on her sermon about safrut, sacred scribal arts. What are some of the halakhot (laws) that guide ongoing scribal practice, what spiritual power do letters carry, and what does safrut have to do with Rosh Hashanah? Through text study, visual exploration of manuscripts, and discussion, we will open ourselves up to a world of sacred scribal tradition that connects us to our ancestors and to future generations.
