Friday Night Pride

Friday Night Pride Celebration!

5:30 - 7:30 PM:  Face painting, Pride Photo Booth, Diversity Library, and rainbow kippot discount sales (courtesy of Women of GJC & the Little Shop)

6:00 PM:  "Through the Rainbow": Pride Family JAM

Bring the kids for an outdoor, music-and-joy-filled Pride Family JAM with Rabbi Alanna & friends!  This special family Shabbat experience is about celebrating who we are, who we love, and who loves us.  Our world and the people in it represent a kaleidoscope of beauty and color, and we see Shabbat as a taste of the world to come, a model for ultimate openness, outness, and acceptance.  Through music, songs, and stories, and ending with a parade through the rainbow, we come together to connect with each other and share in the feeling that love is love is love.

6:30 PM:  Sh'BBQ Potluck Picnic (meat & parve)

Get ready for some good eatin'!  The GJC Men's Club are firing up the grills on the front lawn to cook up burgers, hotdogs, and chicken, along with veggie burgers & hotdogs.  The grills are under Traditional Kosher Supervision, with dedicated vegetarian grills. All meat is donated by our friends at Grow & Behold (Star-K), who are excited to support the LGBTQ+ community in this way!  Centre Catering (TKS) will provide a few parve side dishes as well.

8:00 PM:  Kol Zimrah Under the Stars

Stay to enjoy GJC's monthly musical service, led by Nina Peskin and Rabbi Zeff, under the open sky.

RSVP so we know how many burgers and veggie burgers to throw on the grill for you, bring a pareve-only (no dairy ingredients or dishes) dish to share, and don't forget your chairs and blankets!
