A Joyous Day? Reconsidering the Energy of Yom Kippur
09/16/2021 @ 09/16/2021 - 09/16/2021 EDT
Event Navigation

Join Rabbi Rebecca Richman in person, outdoors in GJC’s Sukkah for a Yom Kippur beit midrash text study. Masks are required!
Yom Kippur is often cast as a solemn day. Although the liturgy and spiritual work of the day are undoubtedly serious, there is also an idea in Jewish tradition that Yom Kippur is a day of great joy. Together, we’ll learn these teachings and reconsider the energy of Yom Kippur, hopefully opening new possibilities for our experience of this most sacred day.
