Friday Night Musical Experience with Yehi Ohr

--

On Friday, January 27 at 6:00 PM in the Maslow Auditorium, come rest, heal, and sing with Yehi Ohr, a brand new collaboration bringing the spiritual gifts of devotional chant to the Shabbat experience. Chanting the divine name is an ancient practice for raising our awareness of our own divine and infinite nature, inviting into our bodies feelings of love, wholeness, and peace. Featuring original Hebrew chant music by Binny Kagedan, with the talents of Rebecca Stone, Yoni Stadlin, Aaron Craelius, and Mike Tannenbaum.

Aaron Craelius…stay tuned!

Binny Kagedan is a local somatic and psychedelic therapist and singer-songwriter, and former GJC ECP parent. He has been involved in the music of the soul for most of his life, working as an amateur and highly sought-after chazan throughout his youth and later as a frequent song leader and officiant at weddings of friends and family. Binny’s explorations in ecstatic and contemplative practices and plant medicine have inspired him to begin creating new spiritual forms that speak directly to the modern heart while rooted in ancestral tradition.

For 14 years, Yoni Stadlin served as the founding director of Eden Village Camp, the Jewish farm-to-table sleepaway camp. He is a dynamic educator who finds that nature, music and play are a magic recipe for community, and is currently the Chief Program Officer for Hazon. Yoni’s recognitions include the Covenant Foundation’s Pomegranate Prize and Jewish Week’s “36 under 36”, and he holds an MA in Informal Jewish Education from JTS. Before Eden Village, Yoni traveled as an environmental educator and activist, working for Jewish organizations including AJWS, Teva, and seven camps, and spending several months living aloft in endangered redwoods.
