These happiest of holidays are celebrated in the GJC Sukkah and with dancing and singing in multiple prayer groups. Our brand new Sukkah is complete, and we invite you to join us for the holiday mitzvot.

    • 6:00 PM: Friday Night Sukkot Service with Rabbi Megan GoldMarche – Join the GJC and wider local community for a family friendly, welcome to all, Kabbalat Shabbat service in the new GJC Sukkah. We will begin the evening with pizza (register here) at 5:30 PM, followed by a song filled traditional Kabbalat Shabbat service led by Rabbi Megan GoldMarche (geared towards older kids and adults, with an eye towards welcoming kid energy and noise). After the service all are invited to a celebratory harvest oneg (light meal/hearty nosh) in the Sukkah!

    • 10:30 AM: GJC Celebrates! Sukkot – Take a quick tour through the many fun aspects of Sukkot! We’ll explore Sukkot through arts & crafts, improv games, new fruit tasting, and stories & songs in the sukkah. Families can join a Religious School group or wander through at your own pace to experience the holiday of joy with all your senses. NOTE: GJC Celebrates! programs are geared toward families with kids in Kindergarten – 7th grade! This program will take place during Religious School and all parents are welcome to join!

      Celebrate, Play, Dance, Parade… with the Torah! Elementary-aged kids and their families will experience the Torah fully unrolled and see all it contains at once!  We will read the end and the beginning of the Torah together to celebrate this special cycle. Special dessert treats for all!
