
Mondays, August 16, 23, and 30 (7:30 -8:30 PM) on Zoom
This class will combine Jewish texts, clinical knowledge, life stories, and experiential learning. We will discuss individual experiences within a larger
frame from the Jewish calendar. Participants will discuss the inner nature of transitions, the psychology of change, and how Judaism supports us through change. Parts of class will offer structured teaching plus some experiential and Question & Answer.
Aviva Perlo, MSW, LSW
Aviva loves to teach about coping skills and cultivating resilience. As a social worker, writer, and artist, she has provided 600 training hours in behavioral health, public health, and violence prevention with at-risk youth and adults. She has led workshops at Manhattan JCC, Isabella Freedman Retreat Center, shuls, schools, preschools, senior centers, and performed at Philadelphia Limmud and Philly Fringe Fest. She has published in the Times of Israel, Huffington Post, Milestones, and more.
