In these challenging times, the WGJC along with Hazak invite you to attend an entertaining and amusing program about Jewish Mothers with songwriter and entertainer Lauren Mayer. The program will take place on Sunday, November 19th at 10:00 AM in the Temin Canteen Room.
West Coast-based Lauren Mayer will reclaim and reframe the Jewish Mother stereotype through story and song. She uses historical research, dozens of interviews, and her own experience to find new, more positive comedy about this iconic character. She calls her program “Don’t Mind Me (I’ll Just Sit Here In The Dark).” Lauren is a 5-time recipient of the San Francisco Cabaret Gold award and has won numerous honors and accolades for her original music, writing several musicals, and recording 6 albums of comedy songs.
