Let Us All Breathe Together

BOOK TALK DATE: Sunday, January 8 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM (in person in the Temin Canteen Room)
SPIRITUAL PRACTICE SESSIONS:  Wednesdays, January 11 & 18 From 1:00-2:00 PM  (in person in the Quitman Library)

In her 2022 book “Let Us All Breathe Together”, Rabbi Weinberg offers a thoughtful collection of spiritual messages, insightful poems, and perceptive essays that explore ways to unite faith with reality, all of which combine to provide a valuable guide through the uncertainties of turbulent times. From meditative relaxation to the soothing sounds of the shofar, to seeing the face of God in ourselves, Rabbi Weinberg shares tools to help overcome trauma and strengthen faith not only in God but also in humanity. This class includes a book talk and two spiritual practice sessions based on practices in the book.

Rabbi Sheila Peltz Weinberg

Rabbi Sheila Peltz Weinberg served as a congregational rabbi for seventeen years.  She has published widely on such topics as feminism, spiritual direction, parenting, social justice and mindfulness from a Jewish perspective and has contributed commentaries to Kol HaNeshama, the Reconstructionist prayer book.  Rabbi Weinberg has taught mindfulness meditation and yoga to rabbis, Jewish professionals and lay people in the context of the Institute for Jewish Spirituality.
