Have you ever arrived at Rosh Hashanah services and felt that nagging feeling like you didn’t do the necessary spiritual work to be fully present to the challenging themes of the High Holidays? This course is designed to help us do just that. During the month of Elul, we reflect on the year past. Often we find ourselves in a similar place to where we were a year before: struggling to make the change we seek real, frustrated that we missed the mark yet again. Using stories and texts, we will learn about the difficulty of change and how we can move together towards wholeness, repentance, and at-one-ment.
Reb Ezra Weinberg
Reb Ezra Weinberg is a prayer leader, independent educator, conversation facilitator, and ritual guide trained at Reconstructing Judaism. He is based in Greater Philadelphia. He tutors for B’nai Mitzvah, officiates at Jewish weddings, acts as a guest prayer leader (shaliach tzibur) at synagogues, consults about making Hebrew prayer traditions stronger in a community, and facilitates difficult conversations around Israel.
