This monthly Shabbat experience, for babies from birth to early walkers and their grown-ups, invites you to celebrate the special time of Shabbat with singing, movement, relaxation and play, and share and connect with other new parents and families. Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds meet as a community at JRA's northeast Philadelphia warehouse (10980 Dutton Road, adjacent to the NE Airport) to pack over 3000 boxes with fresh produce and non-perishable food, and deliver food and a smile into the homes of those in need. This service and potluck meets in different members' homes and features a song-filled Kabbalat Shabbat service and the opportunity to have Shabbat dinner and socialize together. We will publicize the location in advance, and we invite you to bring your favorite vegetarian dish and your Shabbat spirit to this informal gathering.
This 20-minute abbreviated service (rain location: Magil Chapel) is both quick and expressive, combining the singing of a few of the psalms of the Kabbalat Shabbat service with a shortened Ma'ariv (evening) service to welcome us into Shabbat. The service allows us to have a brief way to greet Shabbat before we continue to dinner

Many of you told us how valuable you found last spring’s Granger Shabbat program on this topic and we are pleased to welcome back our speakers, Dr. Howard Stevenson and Rabbi Mordechai Leibling for a two-part workshop which will examine the issues in greater depth. Through historical exploration, personal storytelling and experiential exercises, we will learn
