This spirited service in the Maslow Auditorium is led by volunteer members who lead us in singing the psalms of Kabbalat Shabbat–and this community loves to sing! This weekly member-led traditional egalitarian minyan puts an emphasis on a complete traditional prayer service, with repetition of the Amidah in Shacharit and a full Torah reading. We read fiction and nonfiction books of Jewish interest written mostly, but not solely, by Jewish writers and chosen by the group. Volunteer group members lead the discussion.
