Tikkun Tashlich
Event Navigation

This Tashlich will be an opportunity for community building and reflection – both through the traditional, water-based ritual and through new pathways for personal and communal teshuva. Our focus will be on everyday acts, decisions, and moments of inaction when we have taken the opportunity to make a difference or let it slip by. We will focus on the injustices in our extended families, community, city, and society including inequality, prejudice, and racism. GJC members and friends of ALL ages and perspectives are warmly welcomed to come together and prepare ourselves to move forward into the new year more connected than ever to ourselves, each other, and the world.
Join GJC’s Tikkun Olam team and the GJC Youth & Families Department for “Tikkun Tashlich” at Frog Pond. Meet at GJC at 4:00 PM for a 20-minute walk to the Frog Pond just down the White Trail from the Mt. Airy Avenue entrance to Wissahickon Valley Park. Alternately, you can choose to meet at the park entrance at 4:30 PM. Email Abigail Weinberg, Director of Youth & Families, with questions.
