Learning & Legacy: Working Towards the Vision of MLK, Jr.

Join the entire GJC community in celebration and commemoration of MLK Jr. Day on Zoom! Through learning and action, we will join together to follow MLK Jr.’s example of loving our neighbors by demanding economic justice for all. We will spend an hour on Sunday morning discovering the legacy of Dr. King and partnering with Philadelphia Interfaith Hospitality Network’s Rachel Falkove to learn about homelessness and food insecurity in our city today. There will be a special opportunity for young and old to create letters and pictures asking our elected officials to join us in lifting up our Jewish values – embraced by Dr. King in his fight for equality and peace.
