Lag B’Omer: GJC’s Spring Barley Fest and Brewing Demo

Join us for a fun afternoon under GJC’s Maple Tent for our first Spring Barley Fest! The fest features end-of-Religious-School celebrations, a full-length brewing demonstration by master home brewers Steve Wade and Josh Peskin, live music, taste-testing, games, and much, much more. This is a come when you want, leave when you want event. Hope to see you there!
What you should bring:  camping chairs and/or a picnic blanket and a sustainably packed lunch.
Do you brew or have a favorite beer? Bring some of your home-brew or favorite beer to share for the tasting!
Do you have lawn games to share?  Bring them, too!

• 11:00-11:30 AM:  The Torah of Brewing: an Introduction
• 11:30 AM-12:15 PM:  Religious School Closing Celebration, featuring class presentations and the annual year-in-review slideshow in the Charry Sanctuary, and ongoing brewing demo under the Maple Tent
• 12:15-1:15 PM:  BYO Picnic Lunch (beverages provided) & Music
• 1:00-3:00 PM:  Drop-off youth supervision by madreichim on the playground (ages 6-12)
• 1:00-3:00 PM:  Naptime/quiet time supervision by Tina Easley (registration required)

1:15-4:00 PM:  Ongoing Brewing Demo, Taste-Testing, Music, Lawn Games, Omer Games, and More!
