Israel Shiur with Rabbi Robert Tabak

In honor of Rabbi Robert Tabak’s 70th birthday, he will be sharing some of the research for an article that he have been working on for several years on American Jewish students in Israel 1967-73.  This was the period when the number of American students in Israel on long-term programs went from a few hundred a year to thousands.  Rabbi Tabak will share something of the context; some of his own experiences from documents from his junior year at Hebrew University (70-71), as well as others.  He will raise some questions to consider about the impact and open discussion, including people who have had Israel experiences in other decades.
