Event Navigation

GJC is excited to once again partner with the Peace Islands Institute’s Center for Interfaith Affairs for our fourth annual Interfaith Ramadan Dinner. Ramadan is the 9th month of the   Islamic calendar, when it is traditional for Muslims to fast from sun up to sun down. We are coming together to eat the fast-breaking meal, called Iftar, learn about Ramadan, and share our beliefs about fasting from different faith traditions.  All food will be vegetarian and we are grateful for PII for providing it.

REGISTER HERE BY MAY 19.

Peace Islands Institute (PII) is a non-profit organization that aspires to bring together different points of view. The central philosophy of PII is to unite voices using the spirit of mutual respect and acceptance. The goal is to develop original and alternative perspectives on social phenomenon as they relate to our lives, by presenting explanations, as well as solutions.  Peace Islands Institute summarizes humanity’s problems under three     categories: disunity, ignorance, and poverty. It offers four solutions: unity, education, welfare, and progress. In order to actively engage problems and offer solutions, PII has established five centers: Center for Global Affairs, Center for Social Affairs, Center for Interfaith Affairs, Center for Education, and Center for Media.
