HAZAK presents Wise Up: An Introductory Session with Rina Rosenberg

A new, ground breaking program specifically designed to meet the social, emotional and spiritual needs of Jewish seekers entering second adulthood! In the introductory session to the Wise Up program, you will be guided through reflective work that enables you to come to new understandings about your life, self, values, and Jewish practices. It will introduce learning modes including text study, active listening, mindfulness meditation, exercises, reflection, and journaling. Ongoing groups meet regularly to learn, share experiences and acquire skills for making changes in our lives that will lead to a deeper sense of well-being. Sessions are based on resources developed for the Institute for Jewish Spirituality by Rabbi Rachel Cowan and Dr. Linda Thal, primarily Wise Aging: Living with Joy, Resilience, and Spirit.
Topics include:
• leaving a legacy
• cultivating wisdom
• learning to live with loss
• practicing forgiveness
• cultivating qualities of soul
relationships
• revitalizing and nourishing healthy
changing bodies
• developing a positive relationship to our
• becoming one’s authentic self
• life review
• what is special about this life stage
Rina Rosenberg is a Life Transitions coach and intercultural consultant. She was trained in Wise Aging at the Institute of Jewish Spirituality.
Participants in pilot groups have called the experience transformative:
“My fear of aging has become eagerness to embrace the challenges and possibilities of the years ahead.”
Parking is available on side streets like Greene and Hortter, and across Lincoln Drive on Arbutus and Burnham.  Our advice is not to park on Lincoln Drive!
