Mondays, March 1, 8, and 15 (7:00 – 9:00 PM on Zoom)
We will examine classical Rabbinic texts (Mishna, Talmud, Midrash) focusing on the story and rituals of Passover. Each session will combine close reading with a partner (Hevruta); a presentation by the instructor (shiur); and group discussion of how these teachings might shape the pursuit of social justice today. No prior study is required. Sources will be provided in translation and in the original languages, and partners will be paired according to their text skills.
