Event Navigation

Join the Women of GJC and HAZAK for a program that celebrates spring! Lucy Dinsmore, former Morris Arboretum horticulturist, and certified arborist will present practical ways to prepare your yard for the 2021 growing season. From spring cleanup to preparing the garden of your dreams and/or converting your lawn to an impacting habitat, Lucy will discuss ways to do more (and less!) to achieve your goals. You’ll learn what to plant now for a beautiful and balanced year-round garden. And you’ll hear ways to be more responsible stewards of the land.  and contribute to a balanced ecosystem with more bugs, birds, and butterflies? Over the years Lucy’s motto has become, ‘If you build it, they will come due to the incredible life that is supported by her gardens.

Lucy Dinsmore, loves learning about all things growing. She recently worked for over eight years at the Morris Arboretum, gardened at Chanticleer in Wayne, and lived in Mt. Airy.
