Clergy Study Group: Masechet Sofrim
CLASS SESSIONS:
7:00-8:30 PM on Wednesdays: Feb. 21, Mar. 6, Mar. 20, April 3, April 10
In this study group for clergy, we will study together the minor Talmudic tractate Sofrim, which is about writing Torah scrolls and also about Torah reading. What can we learn together about how our Torah scrolls are written and read, and what might that mean to us as teachers and vessels of Torah? Members of the group will co-facilitate our learning, which will culminate in a siyyum for Ta’anit Bechorot on erev Pesach. The book can be purchased here.
TUITION: $50/member, $75/non-member
