On Yom Kippur, hunger is a top-of-mind issue – but what is it like every single day for those facing hunger insecurity? Join us on Yom Kippur from 3pm – 4pm to hear from Rabbi Adam Zeff and AnneMarie Horowitz, Chief of Staff at Share Food Program, about the ways hunger is impacting the Philadelphia region year-round and what we can do about it.

Share Food Program is the region’s leading anti-hunger network, serving over 30 million meals per year and 300,000 kids every day through the National School Lunch Program at nearly 800 schools.

This talk will include Torah study and time in hevruta, bringing folks together to discuss the Jewish approach to feeding the hungry. You can learn more about Share Food Program at www.sharefoodprogram.org

AnneMarie Horowitz is the Chief of Staff at Share Food Program, the region’s leading hunger relief organization. Share distributes millions of pounds of food to hundreds of thousands of neighbors in need, including 300,000 children at 800 sites every school day through the National School Lunch Program. Horowitz started at Share in June 2025, following a 15-year career at the United States Department of Energy where she most recently served as the Chief of Staff to the Arctic Energy Office. Horowitz lives in Mt. Airy, and one of her children is a graduate of the ECP at the Germantown Jewish Centre. She holds a Masters Degree in Government from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelors in Political Science from the University of Portland.
