Come rest, heal, and sing with Binny Kagedan and friends, as we treat our minds and bodies to a night of deveykut, absorption into spirit. Singing and meditating on divine names and attributes is an ancient practice found in mystical traditions across the world. Rather than praying to an external power, devotional singing is directed inwardly, reminding us that the divine is fully present in every breath and beat of our heart. By returning to our own true nature as manifestations of the infinite One, we cultivate feelings of love, unity, wholeness, and peace that we can bring to our communities and our world. This service will include acoustic instruments.

Binny Kagedan is a local somatic and psychedelic therapist and singer-songwriter, and former GJC ECP parent. He has been involved in the music of the soul for most of his life, working as an amateur and highly sought-after chazan throughout his youth and later as a frequent song leader and officiant at weddings of friends and family. Binny’s explorations in Jewish spirituality and other ecstatic and contemplative practices have inspired him to begin creating new spiritual forms that speak directly to the modern heart while rooted in ancestral tradition.
