(KBM & Israel Programming & GJC; curriculum from the Shalom Hartman Institute)

CLASS SESSIONS:

7:00 PM on Tuesdays in the Maslow Auditorium: 12/19/23; 1/2/24; 1/16/24; 1/23/24; 2/6/24; 2/20/24; 2/27/24; 3/12/24

This 8-session class, including curriculum developed by the Shalom Hartman Institute, offers a values-based discourse about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Through the study of narratives about Israel and the unpacking of the complex meanings of peace in Jewish tradition, and with shared respect for difference, we will explore the ideas and values that animate different attitudes toward the conflict and how these values shape our own political understandings.
