Both/And Thinking: Lessons from the Ancient Rabbis
CLASS SESSIONS:
10:00 AM on Sundays: 10/29/23; 11/12/23; 12/3/23
In our increasingly polarized world, people are calling for more connection and collaboration. Doing so requires us to move away from our traditional either/or approaches to competing demands and instead embrace both/and thinking. These ideas offer us a valuable lens now to help us navigate our responses to the current war in Israel and Gaza.
Both/and thinking is not new. Our Rabbis exemplified these approaches as they navigated debates and dilemmas. In this three-session class, we surface aspects of both/and thinking through the discussions of our ancient Rabbis. We will introduce key rabbinic debates, unpack processes for both/and thinking…. and even ask ourselves how we might apply these insights into our world today.
TUITION: $30/member, $45/non-member
