GJC Celebrates! Purim

The Performing Purim class has been building to the presentation of a filmed performance of the Purim story. The video will be 10-15 minutes and will include costumes, scenes, and lots of silly action. This retelling of the Purim Story involves Persiagram, the social media app that’s sweeping the city of Shushan. After Vashti is canceled from the platform for speaking out, King Ahash-Zuckerberg looks for a new star for his platform. Esther rises to the challenge and Haman plots to cheat the algorithm and get on top. When Haman is angered by Mordechai who won’t like his posts, he vows to take down everyone. Will Esther rise to the challenge of speaking up even if it means risking her Persiagram fame? You’ll have to tune in to find out!  Also make sure you have your zoom screens on for the exciting interactive games led by the students. From “Who is Mordechai?” to “Haman Says” everyone in the audience will be a part of the show!
