Torah Fund Brunch

Women of GJC invites you to join them in person at our annual Torah Fund Brunch. All are invited. May is a beautiful time to be outside, and this year’s Torah Fund Brunch will be held in the Maple Tent on GJC’s front lawn. This year’s honoree is GJC’s wonderful Vilma Lieberman, who is a past co-president of WGJC and volunteer extraordinaire in the Little Shop and GJC office.

Dr. Chava Weissler, Professor Emerita of Jewish Studies, Lehigh University will present “The World of Women’s Piety in Yiddish.”

This is a fundraising event for Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS). While there is no charge, donations of any amount are welcome both in advance* or at the door. All proceeds go to JTS. All US Conservative-affiliated congregations are expected to hold similar fundraising events. JTS graduates are Rabbis and Cantors, Chaplains, Jewish educators, camp directors, and Hillel professionals. Graduates also work as professionals in many in areas such as immigration issues, women’s rights, health care, and so much more. The scholarships and programs funded by Torah Fund help support many of the JTS students.
