Shabbat Morning Child Care
We provide child care year-round from 10:15 am to 12:30 pm on Shabbat mornings and holidays for children who are infants up to age 5. We thank the Women’s Club for sponsoring child care and enabling us to provide this important service free of charge.
Shabbat Morning Children’s Programs
Each Shabbat during the school year, GJC offers a range of experiences for meaningful worship, followed by a children's kiddush.
- Ginat Shabbat, a parent-child service for children up to age 5, includes a puppet show and kiddush
- Minyan Oranim, transition from the parent-child service to leadership within Junior Congregation, for children up to Grade 2
- Junior Congregation, youngster-led service that encourages participants to practice prayer and Torah reading skills, for children in Grades 3–7
- Kid's Kiddush, gather together at noon for kid-friendly fare and social time
Tot Shabbat
A Friday night program for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers and their families. Welcome Shabbat with singing, puppet shows and stories. Followed by a potluck dinner. Meets at 6:00 pm once every other month.
